As a long-standing specialist with a great deal of passion and know-how, STORK Umweltdienste GmbH is your reliable and experienced partner in all areas of recycling, recovery and disposal. We make a special contribution to sustainability with our main areas of activity, which include slag and metal processing, soil remediation, the processing of mineral mixtures - nowadays indispensable for road and landfill construction - and the interim storage of hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
Our specialization in various areas enables us to provide a comprehensive service, the highest quality and specialist know-how.
The importance of recycling in a growing economy
Recycling means processing waste materials or parts thereof in such a way that they can be reintroduced into the economic cycle as secondary raw materials. STORK is highly specialized and efficient in this area and is constantly investing in a range of state-of-the-art technologies in order to be able to recover raw materials in line with market requirements. In addition to marketing the recovered secondary raw materials, the STORK Group manufactures various standard-compliant products in highly flexible capacities on behalf of customers, such as defined mineral mixtures for a wide range of applications.
Slag processing
Waste incineration is an important disposal method for waste in Germany. The resulting incineration residues are known as waste incineration slag. This slag can still contain a considerable amount of ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Using state-of-the-art separation technology, it is possible to extract these metal fractions from the slag and return them to the raw material cycle.
Interim storage for hazardous and non-hazardous waste
Hazardous waste such as paint, chemical residues, oil-contaminated operating materials or batteries often only accumulate in small quantities. Hazardous waste interim storage facilities, such as those operated by the STORK Group, accept this waste and then dispose of it properly.
Metal processing
Some of the metals separated from mineral waste are contaminated and not pure. In order to achieve the best possible degree of purity, additional processing of the recovered metals is necessary.
Mineral mixtures for road and landfill construction
Production of high-quality mixtures for landfills, road construction and backfilling.
Microbiological soil remediation
In the STORK Group's soil treatment plants, mineral waste containing harmful substances, such as soil and building rubble, is cleaned using microorganisms to such an extent that it can then be recycled.
Soil management
The provision of temporary storage areas for material declaration, handling and mechanical processing of soil materials are essential services that can be offered to earthworks and civil engineering companies.
Construction waste recycling
At 200 million tons per year, construction and demolition waste accounts for the majority of waste generated in Germany. This makes it all the more important to recycle this waste. High-quality mineral substitute building materials can be produced from construction and demolition waste.
